Celebrating International Volunteer Day

December 5th marks the annual International Volunteer Day (IVD) and to celebrate Intel Ireland shares some of our volunteering achievements from the past 5 years.

#IVD2015

The International Volunteer Day (IVD) mandated by the UN General Assembly, is held each year on December 5th. It is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organisations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, government authorities and the private sector.

In celebration of International Volunteer Day Intel Ireland shares some of our key volunteering achievements from the past 5 years. Volunteering plays an important role at Intel and our Intel Involved employee volunteering program gives our employees the chance to give something back to the communities in which they live and work.

Through the program, employees can volunteer to help with a wide range of projects which in the past have included teaching people how to use computer applications, environmental conservation, painting and refurbishing community buildings, assisting with youth and senior citizen groups and helping local charities.
