A number of Intel employees have been busy this month lending a hand with voluteer projects in the community.
The activities undertaken included a visit to the Friends of St. Luke’s facility in Rathgar to revamp their reflection garden just in time for summer.
On the day, they focused on the pond area in the garden and ensured there was no weeds in sight.

The volunteers also planted new shrubs and gave the railings, trellis and gazebo around the pond a fresh lick of paint. This reflection garden will now be enjoyed by patients.
Intel employees also visited the Maynooth ICA premises where the team gave the meeting hall a fresh lick of paint. The Maynooth ICA provides a welcoming and fun atmosphere and offers support, friendship, personal development, education and live long learning.
Intel has a dedicated employee volunteering program called Intel Involved which encourages employees to take part in specially organised activities based in the communities where they live and work. Last year Intel employees volunteered a remarkable 45,000 hours towards a variety of activities in the communities.
Intel also each year selects two signature charities in order to give employees the opportunity to dedicate their efforts towards providing volunteer time and funds, raised through specially organised activities, to these chosen organisations.
For 2015, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and the Friends of St. Luke’s have been selected as Intel’s signature charities and the recent volunteer activity at Friend’s of St. Luke’s is a part of this yearlong initiative.
