Last week, on Thursday 26th April, Ireland’s graduate recruiters, course providers and stakeholders came together in the Round Room of Dublin’s Mansion House to celebrate achievement and innovation in the graduate recruitment area, at the Graduate Recruitment Awards. 2018 saw the largest ever Graduate Recruitment Awards, conducted in partnership with the Association of Higher Education Careers Services (AHECS) and the Higher Education Authority (HEA).

Almost 15,000 students participated in the vote to determine Ireland’s most popular graduate recruiter. In total, over 230 organisations are listed within the student survey, and the top 11 in engineering were shortlisted for the award.

On the night Intel Ireland was named Most Popular Graduate Recruiter in the Engineering Sector for the fifth year in a row.

Mark Mitchell, Director of Gradireland, commented: “The Gradireland Graduate Recruitment Awards celebrate organisations who are active on campus, online and at careers events across Ireland throughout the year. The most popular employers are those who commit not only to providing brilliant early career opportunities for graduates, but also take the time to engage with students during their college years to help inform and support them in their initial career decisions. It is great to see Intel recognized for their efforts this year. They are well-known amongst the graduate careers community for supporting graduate careers across a wide range of roles.”

Hosted by RTE’s Brian Dobson, the awards ranged throughout the graduate recruitment spectrum and also acknowledged achievement in the postgraduate course provision area
