The inaugural InBusiness Editor’s Choice Awards took place recently at the Hibernian Club, Stephen’s Green, Dublin, recognising excellence in business over a wide variety of categories.
Run in association with Chambers Ireland, Ireland’s largest business organisation with 60 member chambers representing over 13000 businesses nationwide, the InBusiness award winners were chosen by the editorial team of InBusiness magazine and have aimed to honor both companies and individuals who made outstanding contributions to the Irish business community in 2012.
Intel Ireland was honored at the ceremony as the recipient of the Manufacturer of the Year award.
As Ireland’s premier business quarterly publication, InBusiness reports comprehensively on the world of Irish business,” said Managing Editor Ruairi Kavanagh. “It’s been our duty over the years to report on the lows, but it’s also been a pleasure to cover the highs; those companies who have thrived in adversity or shown inspirational leadership and innovation when it has been most needed. With this in mind, we are delighted to recognise the men, women and firms who have displayed such qualities with this event.”
“These awards honour outstanding achievement in the Irish business community and have been selected on the broad criteria of growth, profile of business, range of services and customer care. With 16 categories, today provides us with a rare opportunity to gather together representatives from a wide-variety of business,” added Kavanagh.
Eamonn Sinnott, General Manager of Intel Ireland and Vice President, Technology Manufacturing Group, accepted the award on behalf of Intel Ireland and said “I am delighted and proud to accept this award on behalf of the talented men and women in Intel Ireland. For us in Ireland, The Intel facility in Leixlip is an incredible example of what can be achieved when we aim high, and work hard to achieve that ambition”.
