International Women’s Day
Thursday March 8th the world celebrated International Women’s Day with thousands of diverse events taking place across the globe to inspire women and celebrate achievements. This years’ theme was #PressForProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and communities to think, act and be more gender inclusive. Intel Ireland marked this special day with a series of events on the Leixlip campus, where employees from across Intel in Ireland came together in celebration.
Women’s Achievement Awards
Central to the day’s celebration were the Women’s Achievement Awards, presented by RTE personality Kathryn Thomas. The Women’s Achievement Awards recognise and acknowledge women working at Intel for a variety of outstanding achievements that have delivered a significant impact to Intel’s business.
The awards are sponsored by the Women at Intel Network whose mission is to empower women to deliver significant business impact with expanded connections, valued skill development, increased representation, and directed support.
Each of the awards was presented on the evening by an Intel Department Manager who spoke about the individual achievements of each of the recipients and shared how their unique contributions had delivered an impact to Intel.
The eight women receiving the awards came from all areas of Intel’s business operations in Ireland and are recognised as leaders and role models.
The 2018 award recipients were;
- Hannah French – Fab 24 Dry Etch Engineer
- Brid Murphy – Fab 24 Planar Engineer
- Anne Tilson – Fab 24 Litho ROC Technician
- Ameera Ahmed – Manufacturing Validation Engineer
- Kim Donnelly – Customer Fulfilment Planning and Logistics Group
- Swati Sehgal – Intel Shannon Operations
- Lynda Connolly – Corporate Services
- Bridget Molloy – Global Mobility HR
