Intel Ireland named Manufacturing Team of the Year

Intel Ireland pick up the award for Manufacturing Team of the Year at the IMR Manufacturing & Supply Chain Awards 2019

The Ireland Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards recently took place at the CityWest Convention Centre in Dublin with more than 400 guests in attendance. The awards recognise hard work, innovation and dedication to the manufacturing industry and are facilitated by Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) which is an independent, not-for-profit, research organisation that is funded under the Enterprise Ireland/IDA Technology Centres programme. IMR provides applied research solutions and advanced manufacturing expertise, technology transfer and training to the manufacturing sector in Ireland.

The event, which recognised exceptional achievement, teamwork and innovation in the Irish manufacturing industry, was a celebration of manufacturing excellence from all over Ireland with major players such as Pfizer, Boston Scientific, Intel and Arrotek Medical amongst some of the companies that took part in this year’s awards.

Intel Ireland were the the recipient of this year’s Manufacturing Team of the Year award. The award was presented by Donal Óg Cusack of DePuy Synthes, who is also an IMR Board Member, to Intel Ireland’s Ann-Marie Holmes who is Fab 24 Factory Manager and Vice President of Intel’s Technology and Manufacturing Group.

Accepting the award on behalf of Intel, Ann-Marie said “My team and I are delighted to receive the first ever ‘Manufacturing Team of the Year’ award this evening. This year, as Intel Ireland turns 30, this award recognises our continuous commitment to succeed as a team by valuing innovative ideas, creative thinking and co-operation. This spirit enables us to do what we do best; running Intel’s latest 14nm technologies to deliver the most sophisticated devices that are powering our modern technologies from laptops to cars and AI computation”.
