Platinum Approved Employer status is awarded by the ACCA, the leading  global professional accountancy body, to employers who demonstrate  commitment to good practice in the training and development of ACCA  staff.

As a Platinum Approved organisation, ACCA Qualification trainees who  gain at least three years experience at Intel can apply for ACCA  membership through a simplified process. In addition, Intel Ireland was  also awarded approved employer status in relation to continuous  professional development (CPD) of its ACCA members. Approved employer  status for CPD means that Intel’s finance training and development  infrastructure meets the very detailed requirements in relation to  ongoing professional development for ACCA members to ensure they keep  themselves technically up to date. It means that ACCA members working  for Intel Ireland will, through the Intel finance training  infrastructure, automatically meet the ongoing requirements for CPD.

Barry Patton FCCA, Finance Director at Intel Ireland says, “These  awards place us in the top 25% of ACCA’s Approved Employers world-wide.  Having accomplished this level of recognition, we are justifiably proud”.

Intel Ireland has over 5,000 employees and will this year celebrate 20  years of operating in Ireland. Intel demonstrates our commitment to  employee development and the encouragement of lifelong learning by  encouraging employees to continually expand their capabilities and  extend their knowledge to enhance the organisation. This accreditation  will ensure that Intel can continue to attract top-class employees for  years to come.

Úna McShane, ACCA Ireland’s Training Manager comments “To be given  this award is a considerable accolade for Intel. It underlines their  commitment to staff development and means that ACCA trainees will  receive great support from the company throughout their training”.
